January NPD Numbers: PS3 Neck and Neck with Wii
Off the momentum gained from Blu Ray's convincing victory in the HD format war, the Playstation 3 fell only 5,000 units shy of outselling the Wii for the opening month of 2008. Xbox 360 trailing by almost 40,000 units by what Microsoft characterized as a shortage. That's one way to look at it we guess.
